The Arthur Svensson International Prize for Trade Union Rights was founded in 2010 by the Norwegian union Industri Energi. Its main goal is to promote and strengthen trade unions and trade union rights around the world.
Both organizations and individuals are eligible for the prize, which is awarded annually.
The prize money is NOK 500,000 (approximately 82,000 USD / 60.000 EUR).

Previous prize winners are Valentin Urusov (2013); Coalition of Cambodian Apparel Workers Democratic Union (2012); Shaher Sae'd (2011); and Wellington Chibebe (2010).
Who can nominate candidates?
· Representatives and employees of trade unions around the world affiliated to confederations that are a part of the International Trade Union Congress (ITUC) or to the Global Unions
· Representatives and employees of Norwegian trade unions
· Past recipients of the prize

Nominations for the 2014 award must be received by 31.01.2014.
